"I've been fortunate to listen to many different voices, age groups and mindsets. The journey of life with varied relationships, obstacles and opportunities... each piece has it's value. We each have a story to tell, a story that longs to be listened to. Through story I hope to offer a way to “dis-integrate” some of the fears that can hold us hostage in the stories we long to be free of. We can find ourselves “re- signing” to a story we have been born into… but not necessarily created for.Re-signing our lives to certain patterns, substances and attitudes can be the result of views and perceptions that serve to limit, stagnate and paralyze us. The eyes of resignation look backward, cultivating postures of “victim and martyr”. Acceptance has a different intention. Acceptance asks us to embrace and take hold of our history, to make use of it with the vision of what we can become. I want to use “Story” as a looking-glass, a way to see what has been hidden from our view. We may only have a glimpse of what is needed to make us whole.
